Hubby and I had driven about an hour north of New York City when we realized we'd forgotten our checkbook. What the? Who leaves their checkbook at home when trying to rent an apartment in a new city? We decided not to turn back, choosing to trust that everything would somehow work out. (We've been doing a lot of that lately.)
Dear Reader, I haven't had a decent night's sleep in days. I've had a headache for two. Yesterday I hoofed it around the city of Boston having eaten only a banana and a Kashi peanut butter granola bar. And yet...we have signed a lease! For reals. Looks like our big move is really happening. Next up, a job...
