There are few things in life one can call sacred. A steaming bowl of chili, maybe, or climbing into bed after the sheets have just been changed. Two unopened, pristine boxes of Girl Scout's Tagalong cookies. Or perhaps, dare I say, a beloved childhood boy band reuniting after years and years of voicelessness?
I was running about fifteen minutes late for work today but decided to wax positive. After all, my hair had been straightened and at least I had the morning paper to peruse. I was contentedly scanning the inky pages when I did a frantic double take. My eyes could scarcely believe what they were seeing, in fact, when I spotted a tiny article containing the heavenly words New Kids on the Block and reunion performance.
What the?
Is this for reals? Are all five of the guys really going to perform on the Today show this Friday? My leery little heart could scarcely dare to dream. No, surely this was far too much to hope for.
Hubby suggested it may be an April Fool's joke, especially since he tried to schedule a recording on the DVR for me and Friday's Today show info sadly makes no mention of NKOTB. Even the show's website is disturbingly New Kid free for this Friday.
Is this some sort of cruel, wretched attempt at a prank? If so, shame on those haters. There are a plethora of things one can joke about. Let's face it, the New Kids ain't one on them.
xoxo

I still have Joey Mac's cell #.
Maybe we should call him to say hi!

We can call him, but I don't want to have to cheat on my husband with Joey Joe. Just kidding! (no i'm not)

OK so they didn't sing but they did make an appearance! When I finally got to watch it Hubby said I was acting "weird." I suppose I was. NKOTB!
