Only in New York does the recycling get picked up after midnight. Right now, 12:48 am, to be exact. Yay, late night garbage collection!

They do it in Boston sometimes too. But mostly it is just people with shopping carts going through the garbage in the middle of the night looking for cans here. And probably stealing identities while they are at it.

Did you know that in the city there are permits allowing people to dig up the street by your bedroom window AFTER 11pm at night?
I just found this out after I called 311 and complained about the jackhammer going full blast @ 2am.
Ah the perks of living in Manhattan!
