Yesterday the guy behind the counter at Barnes and Noble asked if I would like two complimentary Harry Potter temporary tattoos. Well, I'm hardly going to say no to teeny tiny lightning bolt tattoos, am I? Certainly not.
And once again, I find myself immersed in the fascinating world of all things Harry Potter. It's like having a visit with lovely old friends. Dear, wizardly old friends who do magic and fight evil and stuff.
Is there anything more comforting than spending a Sunday reading in bed? I would love to slowly savor each and every splendid page, like a king-sized Caramello, but the pressing, fanatical desire to discover what happens next prevents me from doing so. Now that I think of it, I don't tend to slowly savor king-sized Caramellos, either.
Every now and again I emerge from the bedroom to dramatically inform Hubby of the latest breaking news from the wizarding world. He indulges me, although much to my chagrin he cannot be persuaded to read any of the books. He does watch the movies, however.
I don't want this action-packed saga to end, Dear Reader! If only it could go on forever...

PS- I haven't finished reading yet. No spoilers, if you please! xoxo

So...did you actually apply the tattoos?

So far, I've only applied one to my cartoon self. :) I think I'll save them for when my Sister visits...we're waiting to see the movie until we're together and I'm pretty sure the occasion will call for lightning bolts on our foreheads!

I think Harry Potter looks like a bug!
I watched Goblet of Fire for the 100th time yesterday, due to my GINORMOUS hangover........wonder how that happened?

oooh...I too felt sickie yesterday. Pinot grigio is to us what Voldemort is to Harry! Fun time, though. :)

I finished... I'm done! I read it straight through from the break of dawn to the wee hours of the night yesterday. sigh. It feels weird to be without that sense of anticipation for the next part of the story. It feels a little bit like an amicable break-up. Maybe I'll go see Order of the Phoenix again.... and hunt down one of those tattoos.

Hey Stacey! I know, I wish it didn't have to end. :( I got chills when I saw "We now present the seventh and final installment in the epic tale of Harry Potter" inside the jacket. I think I was hoping this wouldn't really be the last one.
I'd like to take my time reading it, but it's impossible! It will be all I think about until I'm finished...which will probably be tonight. xoxo

I purchased the book Saturday morning and finished reading it Saturday night. I cried when Dumbledore's Army reunited, and when Mrs. Weasley took care of Bellatrix. It was by far the best book of the series, however the epilogue was a bit cheesy and unnecessary. I was surprised by the choice to include that. I also got a little choked up when I read the dedication at the beginning of the book and saw the phrase about the final book. It was quite an emotional roller coaster. Thank you.

I also got chills upon reading the "we now present" on the front sleeve.... and was not all that excited about the epilogue. I guess I never am. As much as I bitch and moan about wanting an epilogue to my favorite books and movies... they never live up to what I decide happens in my head. I sprinted through the book as much as I wanted to savor every morsel... it was wonderful. sigh. Is it too soon to read it again?

I don't think it's too soon to re-read. I was speed-reading with the last book, but this time I find I'm starting to actually take my time with it. I fear I may be trying to post-pone the inevitable...

Will you finish already!?! I need to talk about this. If I was there I'd be staring at you while you read, waiting for your reactions. CREEEPY!

I know, I know. I still have a ways to go. Actually, I got to the "Dobby" part tonight and realized not only was I weeping aloud, but I also had a splitting headache. I had to have a glass of wine to relax. Pathetic. I figure I'll be done by Saturday, I promise. It's just very draining! In the best possible way, of course. :)

I LOVE CARMELLOS, TOO! :) My hubby and I actually had a conversation about the smooth, gooey, chocolately delight this past weekend!

Caramellos are a perfect food indeed! I inhaled a King-Sized one after writing the Harry Potter post. Writing about it made me crave one...
